So, my laptop died, and I've been using in the last two days a 7 years old laptop at home.
It behaves quite decently, in all except one thing: as soon as I try to use an web browser, boom, it's sluggish hell.
When did web browsers become such mammoths?

Have you tried "alternative" web browsers, like Brave, Qupzilla or Midori?

Damn. A suggestion:

It's Chromium and Electron based, so might or might not be a bit "heavy", but it has a strong focus on privacy.
